Writing Update - Feb 28th, 2025

Primary Novel Update:

Book Two — Mercy: (Title to be announced) — is on the CHOPPING BLOCK.

More like a revising block… but you get it.

Current Word Count: 183,307 (~100 word difference from last week)

Chapter 16/44 Revised

Just got one chapter done on Friday/Saturday last week as I was waiting for Copy Edits for Book One.

Mercy: Tears of the Fallen

Current word count (estimate cause documents haven’t combined): ~181,000 current/~174,000 final

I received copy edits Saturday night from Gracie York of York Editing Guild…. And all I can say is—WOW.

I’m absolutely stunned with how the story is coming together. May be disclosing too much, but I got a cathartic response in one of my scenes from her reading it during a copy edit… which is just wild to hear. And going through that scene again myself—I was impacted again.

Everytime going through that chapter it hits me… every single time. Won’t say which one… but I have a feeling people will know when they read it.

She sent me the book in 4 parts—for ease of editing. I’m through 3/4 parts totally and half of the final part.

85 pages left of ~600 total (of the final count).

I busted my ass this week. To meet my deadline of March 1st for my first proofreader, I was happy to.

I can’t wait for this book to get into y’all’s hands.

NOW!!! Some excited news.

I really want to iterate that most content on this patreon will be free.

It’ll be the first rendition I will see of the first city I ever created on Maetlynd called Ossilith… think Minas Tirith on steroids.
